As soon as I saw the picture of this place, it took me down my memory lane. As children, we made paper boats and set them to sail in the little puddle streams that formed during the monsoons. This painting reminds me of the days where at the beach there was nothing like building in the sand and jumping in the waves. Being involved in the aspects of nature is the best thing ever, whether it is witnessing it in person or bringing it alive on your canvas. Thank-You to the photographer for sharing this lovely picture.

As I sat down to describe my painting, it reminded me of this beautiful poem by Rumi, and I couldn’t write anything more than this. It goes “Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and right doing, there is a field. I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
The world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase “each other” doesn’t make any sense.
The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.
Don’t go back to sleep.
People are going back and forth across the doorsill where the two worlds touch.
The door is round and open.
Don’t go back to sleep.”
