As I sat down to describe my painting, it reminded me of this beautiful poem by Rumi, and I couldn’t write anything more than this. It goes “Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and right doing, there is a field. I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
The world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase “each other” doesn’t make any sense.
The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.
Don’t go back to sleep.
People are going back and forth across the doorsill where the two worlds touch.
The door is round and open.

IMAGINE .. When you’re walking through the misty woods hand-in-hand with the person you love, and a light snow starts to fall, it’s like all your worries and troubles just melt away. You feel so close to that person, and you can’t help but want to tell them all your stories, and listen to all of theirs. You feel like you could speak for hours and never run out of things to say. You gaze into each other’s eyes and you can see the love and the future that lies ahead for both of you. You can’t help but feel grateful for this person in your life, and you can’t help but feel that everything will be just fine. You just know that all you need is this one person besides you till eternity.

The Scattered Ray’s, is a meditative piece that has emerged from my imagination. It first takes you through the blue sky dotted with white clouds in this piece to bring your mind from chatter to stillness. Then the various colors in the flowery fields depict the wonders of the limitless potential that this mind possess. The stream that curves gently through those flowery fields directs our gaze at the center where the sun sits reminding us of the blessings of the divine light that empowers us to achieve what the mind desires to.

Capturing Romance in Paintings
There is something about painting romance that just makes my heart happy. I love the idea of capturing the love between two people in a painting. I feel like it’s such a beautiful thing, and I enjoy capturing the happiness and togetherness between them. It’s just so special to me. I’ve been painting romance for years now, and it’s always been one of my favorite subjects. I find it especially romantic to paint the expression of love in landscapes, like snow-covered forests or beaches at sunset. I think it’s because those are the kinds of places that make you feel incredibly small in the face of all that beauty. It’s a reminder that there’s so much out there to experience and to be grateful for, and that’s a great feeling.
