A soothing piece that got its name the way a few friends and relatives read the painting. Each one perceived the empty chairs in a different way. For me it symbolized the space that awaited the couple and for a friend, it symbolized a couple that had just left. My son compared it to my previous painting, ‘Seven minutes in Heaven’ which had a couple on a boat ride and he perceived it as them still being there, enjoying the boat ride.
