Earlier this year, I was asked by my friend Phil Bates if I was interested in filming an instructional watercolor DVD. YES! Of course I was interested. After a couple of meetings and a lot of brainstorming we filmed the DVD on a COLD weekend in January. I have never been in front of a camera before and it showed! But Phil was patient with me and we got through it. He did all the filming and editing. When I watched the first draft I was amazed at how professional it looked!

The DVD is 60 minutes long. I start out by showing basic watercolor supplies. Then I go through some simple demonstrations of how to apply the paint. I describe the color wheel and demonstrate color mixing. At the end I do a painting demonstration of a landscape. I’m really happy with the demo painting. It came out well and the viewer can see the process step-by-step.
