This afternoon I sent my first newsletter using Contact Contact, a web-based email marketing tool. I have to admit it’s not love at first sight. The program is a little slow and a little clumsy I think, but wait, maybe that’s me that’s slow and…ok, I’ll give it a few more months before I condemn it to awkwardness.
If you didn’t get the newsletter, send me an email at vin@vpappas.com and I’ll be sure to put you on the list. If you did get the newsletter, let me know how it came through. Did you see photos? Did the layout make sense?
Time to get away from the computer and back to the studio!
Nick and I recently celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary! It’s been a wonderful 10 years! For my anniversary present, Nick gave me a beautiful necklace. I’m wearing it in my photo on the home page. It is made up of pearls and sunstones. Sunstones are Oregon’s state jemstone. There’s a place in south central Oregon were you can find them. We’ve found a lot, but nothing as nice as what is in the necklace. It’s a very sweet and meaningful gift! I’m pretty spoiled!
Tessie is the happiest creature I know. Here she is on our nightly walk to the river. She is anxiously waiting for me to throw the stick in again. Like most labs, the highlight of her day is getting to swim. She is a great dorky dog. She is clumsy, awkward and she gets the silliest looks on her face. We love her and all her dorkiness!

I just finished taking a two day art marketing workshop with Marty Rudolph. She is incredible!!! I learned so much about the importance of having a cohesive body of work. I also learned how vital it is to be able to speak about yourself, your art and the process. I am excited to put this information into action! Thank you Marty!
